I can’t believe I am living the life of an author!
And trusting God to provide for me using it!
I am so humbled that God is opening doors in my life for me to get the message out about …
coping with vision and hearing loss.
Living life with adventure.
Being real (flaws and all).
I started writing my first memoir Fading Light several years ago. But in the middle of it, God impressed upon me to write Mobility Matters: Stepping Out in Faith. So I changed gears and wrote my story as it applies to me today.
I’m amazed at the outreach and the positive response to my book.
I just wrote what I went through to accept myself at a difficult time in my life.
And God is using it.
I long to hear back from those who read it to find out if and how it met a need in their life.
Sometimes I’m afraid of all those things author fear–
rejection, that someone will laugh or scoff at my story, that it will be met with indifference.
But I promised God that I would walk through the doors He has opened.
And even though sometimes I want to tiptoe away,
(More fear of failure–messing up somehow, emphasizing the wrong aspect in an interview)
I put one toe forward and the other part of my foot follows.
Even when I don’t feel I communicate myself well, God surprises me with a new door.
I’m so honored to try to reflect His light, His sufficiency in lieu of my own.
These are upcoming events for Mobility Matters:
