These are the lyrics to the song I promised to share with you. It was such an awesome experience to work with a skillful songwriter and learn a little about the process. God showed me how he could take my simple, heartfelt thoughts and Frank’s musical abilities to produce an actual inspirational song that people can pour themselves into.  They are my words that fit my unique struggles, and yet, I think every Christian can relate them to their own struggles and aspirations. The Holy Spirit showed me that a songwriting dream I never even knew I harbored until I began to write that day would blossom.  I am so thrilled to be a child of the most High God. He takes the time to show His children what can result when they trust Him to release His power.

Let Them See You
By Amy Bovaird and Frank Beck (accompanied)

Sometimes it’s hard, so hard to be strong
And keep my heart so tender still,
Through Your mercy and grace, all the bad falls away,
So I can live for you.

Abundant life has come to me.
Now help me plant the seeds
To start a new day without regret.
Just let me be led by You…

Chorus:
Lord, let the good shine through.
Lord, let them only see You.
Oh Lord, hide the pain, the fault and the shame.
Lord, make my heart be true.
Just let them see You…

Take away my pride; I need Your humble spirit inside.
Guide my way;  fix my gaze only on You!!!

Lord, let the good shine through.
Lord, let them only see You.
Oh Lord, hide the pain, the fault and the shame.
Lord, make my heart be true.
Just let them see You…

Sometimes it’s hard, so hard to be strong
And keep my heart so tender still…
…Just let them see You…

Hi Amy, your song is so beautiful and inspirational. It also reminds me of another beautiful song about our LORD, and I’m listening to at the moment and it always affects me deeply. It is by Sami Yusuf of his new album (Wherever You Are). Here are the lyrics:

    Wherever You Are Lyrics

    My best times
Were when I felt close to you
    But everything fell apart
The moment I strayed from you

    In each smile
    In every single sigh
    Every minute detail
Traces of you are found there

Wherever you are I’ll find you
Cause you’re the one I turn to
Wherever you be I’ll be with you
Cause you’re the one my heart is to
    I need you

    To see your smile
    I would pass every trial
    Desperately I await
For the day when I’m by your side

Wherever you are I’ll find you
Cause you’re the one I turn to
Wherever you are I’ll follow you
Cause you’re the one I turn to
Wherever you be I’ll be with you
Cause you’re the one my love is to
    My love is to

    Wherever you may be
    I’ll follow till I see
In my heart you will be
Your love is all I need

    In every single smile
    Every single sigh
    Every minute detail
    Traces of you are there

    Wherever you may be
I will search till we meet
In my heart you will be
Your love is all I need

    Wherever you may be
