Today is a stellar day! But let me tell you how it got there…
It certainly didn’t start out that way.
I notice a pattern in these kinds of things. Something I expected to fall into place goes terribly wrong, and I think, oh no, my life is ruined. Nothing is going to work out.
That’s the case with my book.
I woke up to check on its status and found a tiny glitch. But even one was big enough that fixing it would cause a delay in my book from being finished and shipped out until Monday. After doing some investigating, I fleshed out my choices:
Regular Shipping – the books will arrive on October 17, five days after my launch.
Expedited shipping – the books will arrive on October 14, two days after my launch
Priority shipping – the books will arrive on October 10, two days before my launch
I had only one option available to me–priority shipping! The price was, of course, astronomical. Almost as much as the total cost of the books. I had to reduce the number of books I purchased by half in order to have enough money to enable priority shipping.
But it was do-able!
Next, I tried to make Mobility Matters available by Kindle and found it difficult to maneuver through all the forms. I was missing some information, some agreement or something. Anyway, it took forever! I don’t know what I did differently, but that, too, went through!
Then I went back to CreateSpace, where I had independently published it.
When I was talking with the CreateSpace agent, together we learned that Mobility Matters was up already!
The agent said in quite a puzzled voice, “You know, this is highly unusual. For a book to appear on Amazon usually takes 3-5 days but your book published instantly. I can’t explain it. You were very lucky!”
I knew I wasn’t lucky. But I was blessed!
I knew that God had expedited it. I know His pattern. Or the pattern He uses with me. When I’m exhausted and disappointed, He finds ways to let me know that He’s in charge. And He loves to delight me!
Either God was as excited about the book as I was, pleased that I’d worked so hard on it, or He knew how badly I wanted it done and He pushed it through.
He created a miracle!
And then He invited me to dance.
The kind God loved to surprise me with…the dance of His Perfect Timing.
I could see His twinkling eyes.
The look that said, why do you worry so?
He twirled me, dipped me down and swept me off my feet
I remembered all over again that God is a magnificent dancer.
And He loves to whisk my off my feet, impromptu.
Take a look at what we’re celebrating…
How he expedited my book through the publishing process tonight!
